Many organisations are still leaving themselves exposed to cyber risks, according to international research by the Institute of Risk Management.

The survey revealed that

• less than half of respondant organisations check the security practices of supplier companies.
• Despite the proliferation of use of smartphones and tablet devices, close to two thirds of organisations whose employees use such devices for work purposes fail to ensure that they are adequately security protected.
• Many firms using cloud computing services have not implemented relevant security policies
